Pupils are taught how to produce successful and interesting art, using a variety of materials, processes and techniques through a series of structured and guided practical workshops. Pupils work week by week, slowly building towards a finished piece of work. We also work regularly in sketchbooks. Previous topics include Modigliani inspired self portraits in acrylic, Patrick Caulfield style interiors and Surrealist Photomontage.

Courses run for half an academic term. (or slightly shorter)

Our next course started on Monday 7th January

It is based on the work of the contemporary British printmaker Angie Lewin, whose work is inspired by clifftops, coastlines and highlands – and who is also attracted to the relationships between plants, animals, insects, feathers and eggs, collected while out walking.

Appropriate for children aged 6 – 11 years

The course will run for 4 weeks and costs £43.20 (please note: Artroom will be closed midway through the course, from Friday 18th – Thursday 31st January)
