Online Zoom Classes

Artroom has set up a Zoom classroom, so we can continue to deliver content for children, teenagers and parents to participate in at home. Our aim has been to maintain the spirit of our studio based classes, in an interactive, online setting. All of our online classes are live to create the authentic and important classroom feel and as a result, they are all different too!

A staggering 400 families joined us for our first week of classes and the feedback has been wonderful.

Online Zoom Classes

 

‘SEB’S DAILY DROP-IN’ CLASSES

Easy to follow, fun, stand-alone projects for the whole family.
TIME: 11.30am – 12.30pm  
FREQUENCY DAILY DROP-IN: Weekdays (Monday – Friday)
SUITABILITY: 6 years to 106!
REQUIRED MATERIALS: Pens, marker pens, pencils, paper, glue, scissors, paints, felt tips & colouring
pencils.

THE ARTROOM ‘COURSE’

Please Note! Courses are always two weeks long. Zoom ID & Passwords will remain the same so you do not need to re-register to participate in a new course.

Course TWO:  MIRO inspired acrylic paintings – (Monday 20th & 27th April)

Course THREE: Jean Michel-Basquiat / Snoopy MASH-UP! – (Monday 4th & 11th May)

Course FOUR: Van Gogh ‘Starry Night’ – (Monday 18th & 25th May)

Course FIVE: Angie Lewin inspired landscapes – (Monday 1st & 8th June)

Course SIX: Keith Harding Cartoons – (Monday 15th & 22nd June)

WHEN: Mondays 1.30pm – 3pm
SUITABILITY: 6 years to 12 years (older welcome)
REQUIRED MATERIALS: A2 paper, PVA glue, Acrylic paints and paintbrushes,
sponges, watercolours, marker pens and fine-liner pens, water pots

THE ARTROOM ‘ADVANCED COURSE’

Course TWO: Martin Whatson – (Tuesday 21st and 28th April)

Course THREE: Jean- Michel Basquiat – (Tuesday 5th & 12th May)

Course FOUR: Mixed Media Landscapes – (Tuesday 19th & 26th May)

Course FIVE: David Hockney – (Tuesday 2nd & 9th June)

Course SIX: Andy Fairhurst – (Tuesday 16th & 23rd June)

Advanced class. 1 day per week. 2 week course. Interactive
WHEN: Tuesdays – 5pm – 6.30pm
SUITABILITY: 10 years to Adult (equivalent to studio based evening class)
REQUIRED MATERIALS: A2 paper, PVA glue, Acrylic paints and paintbrushes,
sponges, watercolours, marker pens and fine-liner pens

Fees

There is no mandatory charge for our online classes and courses, but we do welcome contributions to keep going. We remain completely committed to keeping things running daily throughout this crisis! 

Should you wish to contribute, you can do so via Paypal or BACS.

  1. Suggested contribution for the daily drop in class: £3 per household, per day
  2. Suggested contribution for the project based classes: £6 ‘per class’ per week

  2. To register for participation in The Artroom course, please select ‘FORM 2’
  3. To register for participation in The Artroom Advanced course, please select ‘FORM 3’
  4. To register for participation in ‘SEB’S THURSDAY DROP-IN CLASS’ please select ‘FORM 4’

Rebooking

The Zoom password and ID is generated by the Google form above. These log in details do not change. If you lose them, please fill in another
form and they will be automatically generated.

You can register your child at any time, using the forms above and the Zoom ID and password will be generated.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CANNOT JOIN A COURSE IN WEEK 2.

Just want to say a huge thank you ! I am working in the NHS and my 10 year old is stuck without me at home and with Daddy working full on in a key role from home.  This art session literally is the highlight of her day ! She loves to show me her work! Thanks !!!!!

Daily Art Instagram challenge

We have set up a new Instagram account, where we will set a daily art challenge for children and adults alike.

Please follow the account: @artroomonline where each morning, I will set an art challenge.

All artwork will be posted on the @artroomonline instagram account.

You can either post a photo of your picture to your own account, using the hashtag #artroomonlinechallenge or direct message me @artroomonline

I will then post the received images.

New YouTube Channel ‘Artroom Studios’

Now we’ve got our heads around ZOOM – we are also setting up our YouTube channel, ‘Artroom Studios’.

Please check for updates by subscribing to the new YouTube channel using the bookmark link below or here!

As we develop our online classes we aim to be using YouTube too with pre-recorded, supporting video content and stand-alone classes that your pupils can do at anytime they (or you) choose.
